Beginners Guide to Fractals
Hey everyone, it’s Mecka!
When I’m running fractals, I often meet players who’ve never completed them before or aren’t familiar with the basics. To help new folks get started, I’ve put together a simple page and a video that walk through everything you need to know.
If you’re new to fractals—or just want a quick refresher—this is a great place to begin. Hope it helps you feel more confident jumping in
Before You Start the Video – A Few Key Basics
Wizard’s Vault
(See post: Beginner’s Guide to the Wizard’s Vault)
- You can earn ascended armour through Wizard’s Vault rewards.
- You can also buy laurels, which can then be used to purchase ascended armour.
- The Vault provides plenty of gold, making it a great support system for new players gearing up.
Agony Resistance (AR)
- You gain Agony Resistance by slotting agony infusions into your armour and trinkets.
- Only ascended gear can hold agony infusions.
- Lower‑tier infusions can be combined to create higher‑tier infusions.
- Higher fractal tiers require increasing amounts of AR, so upgrading your infusions is essential as you progress.

What to Do Next
If you’ve made it this far, you’re already well on your way to becoming comfortable with fractals. Here are a few simple next steps to help you put everything into practice:
- Check Your Gear & AR
Make sure you’ve got your ascended pieces sorted and start slotting in agony infusions. Even a small amount of AR will let you dip your toes into the early tiers. - Try the First Few Fractals
Start with Tier 1. They’re designed for beginners and will help you learn the mechanics without too much pressure. - Don’t Be Afraid to Ask
Everyone starts somewhere. If you’re unsure about a mechanic, a build, or your AR, just ask. Most players are happy to help — and I’m always around if you need guidance. - Keep Progressing at Your Own Pace
As you gain more AR and confidence, move up through the tiers. You’ll earn better rewards, more gold, and eventually be ready for challenge modes if you fancy them. - Join the Community
Whether you want a group to run with, advice on gearing, or just a friendly place to hang out, you’re welcome to join us. We’re all about helping new players feel at home.
Final Thoughts
I’m still learning the ropes when it comes to creating content, so if I’ve missed anything or if something in the video isn’t quite up to the standard you’d expect, please let me know. Your feedback genuinely helps me improve and create better guides for everyone.
If you’ve got suggestions, tips, or ideas for future videos, I’d love to hear them. Every bit of advice helps me grow and helps the community too.
Thank you for watching and supporting the content.
